Like a woman in child labor

For most women labor hurts a lot, but not only can your heart take it, so can the rest of your body. You’re going to be fine! Just hang on a little tighter, encourage yourself by any means possible. Eventually, when a woman holds her baby in her arms, all of the pain doesn’t matter anymore. When you get to the light after the dark tunnel, all of the hurt won’t matter anymore! … More Like a woman in child labor

Towards a better New Year

The world we will wake up to on January 1, 2018 won’t be the same world we entered exactly one year ago. You never really notice how the atmosphere has shifted until you look back over the past 365 days and realize that considering the events of the year that’s passed, there is simply no way we can move forward without feeling changed in one way or another. All the while my kids won’t stop going, ‘mommy I want this, mommy I want that’. Phew! Kudos to moms.

So just in a brief moment of yesterday, I got some relief from all the pain and discomfort and in that moment I thought, “What a relief. This feels like heaven”.

And my thoughts can go from just watching a butterfly to the wildest thoughts sometimes. I then began to think, if in this brief moment of relief it felt like bliss, like heaven then what is heaven? Where is heaven? What would it feel like? What would it look like? … More Where’s your heaven?
