Staying sexy in the midst of a busy schedule

If you ever want an example of a perfect multitasker, look at the life of a woman. Whether or not we want to, we have to do it all – clean the house, take the kids to school, help with homework, make dinner, satisfy the husband, be outstanding at work and make everyone happy. In the midst of this crazy busy schedule, it can be difficult to feel sexy. Many times we feel stressed, overwhelmed, and not well appreciated which leaves us feeling anything but sexy.

A friend was asking me recently how I find a balance juggling it all. To be quite honest, I don’t know but it is important to realize that feeling and looking good comes from the inside out then it doesn’t become another chore. You must first feel good with yourself on the inside and then it radiates on the outside. So, here are some quick and easy ways to shift your way of thinking and get your sexy back.

  1. Create quality time with yourself

It can be demanding and overwhelming to keep doing the same things over and over, striving to be better and challenge yourself more and more and forget to think about yourself in the midst of the rat race. If you have always relegated yourself to the back sit in your own life, now is the time to start putting yourself first, whether it is simply reading a book, getting a pedicure, having lunch with a friend, or taking a long smoothing bath. Make sure you create that quality time for yourself every day. You’ll realize you’re able to better function at your duties this way.

  1. Wear a smile

A smile goes a long way. I recently discovered the healthful benefit of a smile. It affects you and the people around you. It exudes confidence, self-esteem, decreases stress, and ignites your personal power. And yes, smiling is contagious if people aren’t just out to be pessimists. Smile even if you don’t feel like it. After a short time, smiling will put you in a better mood, make you feel sexier, and those around you will be happier too.

  1. Take a break and rest

Getting enough sleep is one of the most important ways to feel good about yourself. After a good night’s sleep (8 hours) you feel more energized, have mental clarity, and it boosts your immune system. Getting lots of good quality sleep even makes your memory stronger and increases your creativity.

  1. Drink your greens either by juicing or using your blender

I remember the first time I deliberately chose to make this a habit. It wasn’t fun or sweet but I realized it did my body a whole world of good. I felt younger, looked fresher and I still do. It helped to cut off a lot of unnecessary sugar intake which is healthier for me. There are so many ways you can prepare your greens to give you more fun flavors. A quick morning green smoothie will give you tons of energy throughout the day, detoxifies you, and will make your skin glow.

  1. Get dressed up

Now this is one of my favorite things to do and it’s more fun because I do it just for the fun of it, not necessarily because I have a special occasion for it. Why wait for a special occasion to wear your favorite dress anyway? You will never get a second chance to make a good first impression. If your schedule is that crazy, set your clothes out the night before or the week ahead so that you’re not having to wear the same clothes in your wardrobe over and over. Re-shuffle your wardrobe once a while too and you might just discover a little sexy number which isn’t necessarily new.

Women are wonderful human beings with loads of beautiful layers to uncover every single day but if as a woman you won’t even take time to let your shine out, no one else will appreciate you more than you are willing to invest time in yourself. Stay connected and own your sexiness for a better and stronger confidence.
