A Sweet Word

“Kind words are like honey — sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.” –  Proverbs 16:24

Ah! How refreshing is the effect of one kind word said at the right time! The tongue is a very powerful tool and it has the power of life and death. When someone helps me with their kind words, it might not seem like a big deal to whoever said or sent the word to me, but a kind word goes a long way for me.

Saying kind words to people cheers them up especially when they are having a bad day. They bring healing to the soul. They go better with advice. When correcting others, no one likes when someone is cruel with their words but everyone can appreciate and will listen to gracious words.

Use your speech to encourage and uplift someone today.

Kind words provide many benefits, not only to the person that it is intended for but also to the person who is saying them because it gives a feeling of fulfilment that you were able to steer up warmth in the heart of someone else.

Here are some of my favorite quotes:

  • sweet-word-1 Blaise Pascal
  • sweet-word-2 Anonymous
  • sweet-word-3 Dale Carnegie

A few of my favorite love proverbs on a sweet word:

  • “Like golden apples set in silver is a word spoken at the right time.” – Proverbs 25:11
  • “Wise words satisfy like a good meal; the right words bring satisfaction.” – Proverbs 18:20
  • “Careless words stab like a sword, but the words of wise people bring healing.” – Proverbs 12:18

Be a blessing today and spread some sweet words around! 😉
