Relationship is a very interesting topic. It is so because relationship itself differs from one person to the other. It may be between family, friends, or sexual partners. Interesting more also because within the confines of each of these level of interactions, the relationship level may vary as well. For instance, I have 5 sisters. I love them all the same but what I share with each person vary per time. This may be due to distance, closeness, availability, vulnerability and so on. For any level of genuine relationship, however, love is an important part often involved in these relationships.

I met my wife when she was 22. I was 28 then. She was an orphan and struggling really hard to make ends meet. She had none except her younger sister, Doris who was 20 then. My wife didn’t want to go back to school so I started a business for her instead. We got married a year later. Due to some issues she wasn’t able to conceive till 5 years after our wedding. We had twin boys but I lost my wife during childbirth. Her sister who has been staying with us since we got married stayed on after my wife passed. She cared for my boys like they were hers and we got through our loss together. She had to quit her job at a point to take care of the children. She has been taking care of me as well. She cooks, cleans, washes, run errands and practically does all the household activities. She has really been good to us since it happened. The problem is this: she entered into my room last week and told me to my face that she is in love with me and that I should man up and pay her bride price. I was too stunned to say anything. She kissed me and left. I left very early for work the next morning because I was avoiding her and yet she brought lunch to the office. When I got back at night, I avoided her again and went straight to my room and locked it. She knocked but I pretended to be asleep. I spoke to my mom about this and to my surprise, she was okay with it. It’s not like I don’t love her enough to wife her but I feel like it disrespects the memory of my wife. … More Between her memory and her sister
So in these times of uncertainties, it has become inevitable to reconnect with one’s inner source, finding fulfilment derived from motivation. What keeps you hustling every day? Is it something from your past life? Perhaps it was lived in poverty and helplessness. Is it your children? Just knowing you want to give them the best of everything? Is it a fear for poverty in this life? Is it a past experience? Knowing one bad turn can lead to an irreversible disaster? Whatever it is that won’t let you stay down, now more than ever before, you need to re-align your focus and re-energize yourself for the next phase of your life.
Come to think of it, what are you working endlessly for? Money? Money is important but in most cases it’s not the critical factor that influences performance at the end of the day. And in some cases, offering more money can actually harm performance. If that sounds naive in the current climate, let’s consider one of the worst-case scenarios for a moment. This is where somebody loses their job or their business fails, and as a consequence loses their home. They and their family have to move out into poorer quality accommodation, lose many of their possessions and survive on a far more meagre budget than they are accustomed to. … More Re-connect with yourself

“Kind words are like honey — sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.” – Proverbs 16:24
Ah! How refreshing is the effect of one kind word said at the right time! The tongue is a very powerful tool and it has the power of life and death. When someone helps me with their kind words, it might not seem like a big deal to whoever said or sent the word to me, but a kind word goes a long way for me.
